About AgendaZoom

Industry events, awards, conferences, and festivals are proliferating. We know this because we helped create a lot of them. There are good reasons why these products proliferate: they make money, and give people a valuable way to engage and build relationships. When events are good, they are very good indeed. When they are bad, well, a producer will have a lot of latitude to lure you back next year. 

Prospective speakers, sponsors, and delegates are at the mercy of events and awards promoters when making decisions about where to invest their time and money. More independent evaluation and reviews are needed to truly understand the value of these opportunities.

We launched AgendaZoom to become an independent source of information about B2B events, starting with marketing and business innovation topics. The goal is to democratize the B2B Events Industrial Complex and, ultimately, to improve the experiences for everyone

Julia Hood, Founder & CEO

Julia Hood is the founder of Pop-Up Media and AgendaZoom, which launched in January 2018. Previously she was Chief Content Officer at Haymarket Media, leading editorial, custom, and events strategy on such brands such as PRWeek, Campaign US, DMN, and Medical Marketing & Media, and the cyber security brand SC Media.

Under Hood’s leadership, Haymarket launched the hugely successful Brand Film Festival, co-presented by Campaign and PRWeek, as well as the Hall of Femme franchise, honoring female leadership in marketing. Hood also launched PRWeek on a global platform, and served on the global Executive Committee for Campaign.

Hood is on the Board of Advisors for the Plank Center for Leadership in Public Relations, and on the Board of Advisors for the Museum of Public Relations.



Lauren DeRiggi, Partner & Head of Partnerships and Business Development

Lauren is a highly experienced commercial executive. She was previously VP of Sales at Haymarket Media, where she lead the commercial strategy across all channels of the PRWeek brand, including its launch as a global brand.

DeRiggi developed PRWeek’s first brand activations at the Detroit Auto Show and the Cannes Festival of Creativity, as well as the launch of the PRWeek Global Awards.
